Our Team

People In Motion opened its doors in 1989 and was started by Edward Arnston. Our staff are dedicated to creating a better tomorrow for people with invisible, physical & cognitive disabilities. Our staff could not do what they do without the dedicated group of volunteers who make it happen.

Debora Delyzer

Debora DeLyzer is our new Executive Director. Debora grew up in Kamloops and graduated from NorKam class of ’74!

You might know her from Ridgepointe at Pineview, Hudsons Bay, Habitat for Humanity Restore or her volunteerism at many events in the community which support people with diverse abilities, accessibility, inclusiveness, in need of housing or cardiac care RIH.

She is married to Warren of 43 years, has two children and two beautiful grandkids Quinn and Kaden.

Debora is passionate about people and making a difference in someone’s life. Her favorite quote “Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about… so be KIND always”

Kari Rubel

Kari Rubel is our Director of Education and Programs. She started out as an Active Living Program Worker in 2007 and took over the new position in January 2014. Kari has many years of experience working with children, youth and adults with diverse abilities. She also has worked as a care aid in a group home setting. She holds a Community School Support certificate, Basic Sign Language, and a Care Aid Certificate.

Brock Morford

Brock is our newest addition to our team, taking on the role of Operations Coordinator. He is a recent graduate from Thompson Rivers University with a major in Supply Chain Management.

He has many years of experience with customer service and is happy to help our diverse membership transition to our virtual classes. Look out for Brock at our front desk or on camera at our online classes!
